Effective April 1, 2009, MountainHeart will receive $488,016.00 for a 15 month period for weatherization activities in Wyoming County.  Gross family income will increase to 200% of OMB poverty guidelines.  MountainHeart  will complete 58 homes at a maximum of $6,500.00 per house.  Contact person is Marcella Hood at 304-682-8271.

1. The 2009 poverty guidelines were published by the Department of Health and Human Services in the Federal Register on January 23, 2009.
2. The DHHS poverty guidelines are somewhat higher in Alaska and Hawaii.  These numbers are available at http://aspe.hhs.gov/poverty/09poverty.shtml.
3. The stimulus act sets qualification for Weatherization at 200% of the poverty guidelines.

This is part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan commonly known as the Stimulus Package.
