MountainHeart Community Services, Inc. is a private, non-profit, 501(c)(3), Community Action Agency incorporated in 1965 in accordance with the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964.  MountainHeart Community Services, Inc. celebrated 40 years of service to the community in 2005.

The organizational vision or mission of MountainHeart Community Services, Inc. is to reduce the incidence of and lessen the impact of poverty among West Virginia residents.
